I single channel video 7.00 min. 1986 The soundtrack of 'Nature 1'
consists of a rhythmic succession of sound-outbursts (human voice), with a
gradual change from laughing to more intense and finally violent
sound-explosions. Halfway these explosions are
slowed down, until a natural and quiet sound remains. At the same time the
picture changes from abstracted close-ups of the mouth, to a monumental,
static picture of a raised head. Some steps of this change are shown alongside. |
